The Georgian national basketball team on Wednesday defeated Venezuela 70:59 and qualified for the second group stage of the FIBA World Cup.
The result of the match, hosted at Okinawa Arena in the Japanese city, saw the Georgian team score its second win in three Group F games to earn the qualification.

In Group F standings, the Georgian squad has earned five points after their defeat to Slovenia and victories against Cape Verde and Venezuela.
The second group stage starts on Friday and will see Georgia compete against Germany and Australia to reach the quarterfinals.
