Law enforcement officers and the Revenue Service's Customs Department arrested three foreign citizens on drug-related charges, including purchase, possession and smuggling of drugs across the country over the recent period, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
As a result of a personal search of the detainees, identified only through their initials, police seized cocaine, methadone and other drugs. One of the detainees was arrested at Tbilisi International Airport.
The crime is punishable by a term of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
