Georgian customs officers detained a Georgian citizen for an attempted smuggling of drugs through the Sarpi border crossing checkpoint with Turkey in the south-west of the country, the Revenue Service announced on Tuesday.
The officers seized 106 pills of the methadone 40 and 14 capsules of the psychotropic drug pregabalin during their physical and luggage search of the offender.
The body also said the case had been handed over to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further action.
