The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia on Tuesday arrested two individuals for selling counterfeit currency.

The body said its investigation had found the suspects had exchanged the money at currency booths in Georgia's western city of Kutaisi.

It also said it had seized $650 in 13 forged units of counterfeit $50 bills.

The crime is punishable by imprisonment between seven and 10 years.
