The existing bilateral law enforcement cooperation between Georgia and Hungary was discussed on Tuesday by Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and his Hungarian counterpart Sándor Pintér at the meeting held within the framework of the Georgian official’s visit to Hungary.
The sides highlighted the importance of “effective implementation” of bilateral agreements between the governments and reviewed the perspectives of future cooperation, the Interior Ministry said.

Gomelauri briefed Pintér on the ongoing and implemented reforms at the Ministry, and the parties expressed their willingness to implement appropriate measures for sharing experiences and best practices between the ministries.
The Georgian Minister thanked his Hungarian counterpart for his hospitality and expressed hope to “actively continue” the cooperation between the parties in different directions.

After the face-to-face meeting with Gomelauri, the Hungarian Interior Minister hosted an official dinner in honour of the Georgian delegation in Budapest.
