The meeting also involved discussion of security challenges in the South Caucasus region on the backdrop of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, and possible efforts by small nations to maintain peace and stability in the face of global security challenges.
The Minister also thanked the visiting official for her country’s “firm support” for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for visiting the line marking the Russian occupation of the central Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region on the first day of her visit on Sunday.
After meetings with Georgian top officials, including Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, President Salome Zourabichvili and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Hasler is scheduled to end her trip late on Tuesday.
