French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna will visit Georgia on Friday to meet the country’s officials, the French foreign office said.
The top French diplomat will meet Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.

“She will show her support for reforms in the rule of law and the preservation of civic space, which are essential to continue the country's rapprochement with the European Union”, the announcement said.
The French Embassy in Georgia on Tuesday said the Minister expressed her support for peace in the South Caucasus region and the country’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and European integration.
