David Bakradze, Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, on Thursday highlighted the importance of fostering the rule of law for world peace and security at a United Nations Security Council debate.
In his remarks at the debate, Bakradze reminded members of the organisation about violations of principles of international law worldwide.

The diplomat named the ongoing illegal occupation of Georgia's regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) by Russia since 2008 as an example of cases of contravention of the principle.
