Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will present the country’s new Minister of Education and Science at the Government meeting on Monday.
The Government Administration revealed the new Minister would be unveiled at the weekly meeting, marking the end of tenure on the position for Mikheil Chkhenkeli.
Local media reports suggested Giorgi Amilakhvari would replace Chkhenkeli, who worked on the position since 2019.
Amilakhvari has been the Chair of the Education and Science Committee of the Georgian Parliament since 2021.
Multilateral relations and “fruitful cooperation” between Georgia and Armenia were discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Zhanna Andreasyan, the Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
