The Gotsiridze station of Tbilisi Metro opens and resumes operation starting Saturday, after the completion of rehabilitation and renovation works, the Tbilisi City Hall announced on Friday.

The renovated metro station was inspected by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze before the opening. The Mayor apologised to the public for the extended rehabilitation works, explaining the City Hall had to change contractor companies as they could not fulfil their obligations under the contract.

He added the station was adapted for people with disabilities by installing two elevators and arranging special tactile paths.
The station was closed in February 2021. The project budget amounted to ₾4.7 million (about $1.8).
