Four of the stations - Akhmeteli, Didube, Delisi and Technical University - will have new entrances constructed, the mayor revealed.
He also said the $16 million project would include renovation of above-ground infrastructure for 12 metro facilities in the city.
The effort will involve renovation works at Grmagele, Nadzaladevi, Station Square, Marjanishvili, Rustaveli, Freedom Square, 300 Aragveli, Isani, Technical University, Delisi, Didube and Akhmeteli Theatre stations.
The facilities will also be adapted for people with disabilities, Kaladze added.
