NATO-Georgia cooperation, the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine and the consequent deterioration of the security situation in the Eastern European region were discussed on Thursday during a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and NATO Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security David Cattler.
Garibashvili and Cattler underlined the importance of the international community's greater efforts to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible in their conversation, the Government Administration said.
In the meeting, the “successful development” of the “practical cooperation” between the alliance and Georgia was noted, with the two officials also agreeing on the importance to further deepen the partnership.
The cooperation between NATO and Georgia contributes to the modernisation of the Georgian Defence Forces and the strengthening of the country's defense capabilities, the two sides highlighted at the meeting.
