Coronavirus: Georgia reports 943 new cases, 2,789 recoveries, 37 deaths

Georgia has reported 943 new Covid-19 cases, 2,789 recoveries, and 37 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 5.50%.

Overall 21,667 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

A total of 15,032 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 7,413 of the 15,032 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,619 were PCR tests. 

938,583 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.

A total of 902,948 of 938,583 patients have recovered, while 13,942 have died from the virus.

The 943 new cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 519 cases 
  • Adjara - 91 cases 
  • Imereti - 68 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 125 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 15 cases 
  • Guria - 29 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 40 cases 
  • Kakheti - 37 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 13 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 6 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 0 cases

A total of 4,446 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,137 of the 4,446 patients are in critical condition. 269 of the 1,137 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

16,388 people are undergoing treatment at home. 

28,087 individuals are in self-isolation.
