The Georgian National Tourism Administration on Wednesday presented its end-of-year summary by highlighting its “active” promotion of the country’s tourism potential through participation in tourism fairs and facilitation of promotional campaigns in international media.

In the annual report of its work, the Administration highlighted efforts such as the media campaign in Bloomberg, an influential international platform.

The state agency said it had prepared videos and articles introducing the tourist potential of the country, with the material published on Bloomberg’s website and social networks and reaching over six million users worldwide.

It also added an “active” marketing campaign had been run in the Baltic and Persian Gulf countries via the use of social media, digital and print outlets, television, radio, external banners and influencers.

Throughout 2022, the GNTA also featured in the 12 largest international tourism fairs, with Georgian tourism products presented at exhibitions in Dubai, Tel Aviv, London, Warsaw, Birmingham, Brno, Tampere, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Berlin.

The Administration also noted Georgia’s upcoming participation in the ITB Berlin international tourism exhibition as a host country in February is a “great opportunity” for presenting the country as a tourism destination

ITB Berlin has been recognised as the world’s leading travel trade fair since 1966, with Georgia now given the opportunity to introduce tourism products to 200,000 visitors of the exhibition, including 100,000 from the business sector.
