The Georgian Prosecutor General’s Office on Sunday said it had brought charges against one person for the premeditated murder of a man and his wife in Tbilisi.
The Office said the offender, on December 19, had stabbed the man and his wife to death during a quarrel and had placed the bodies in a pit near the accident site, overlaying them with tree branches to cover up the traces of the murder.
On the appeal of the state body, as a preventive measure, the offender has been sentenced to prison by the court. The offender is facing 16 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
