Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Wednesday left for an official visit to Saudi Arabia for a series of “high-level” meetings with officials of the Gulf state, the Government Administration said.
Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said the purpose of the visit was to “further deepen and strengthen” cooperation, political dialogue and economic relations between the two states and bring more investments to Georgia.
He also noted the visit would bring “tangible” results and added strengthening bilateral cooperation with Gulf countries was “one of our main priorities”.
I am convinced this visit will bring specific results for our country”, the top Georgian diplomat said.
