Georgian PM hails “strategic partnership”, “unique friendship” at meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday praised the “strategic partnership” and “unique relations and friendship” with Azerbaijan in a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ali Asadov in Tbilisi. 

Hosting the official for a meeting at the Government office ahead of the ninth session of Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Economic Commission, Garibashvili stressed the “very close economic cooperation” between the two countries and noted they had acted to ensure peace in the South Caucasus region.

Peace and stability in the region is the basis of more economic development and prosperity”, he said, noting the bilateral relations had been “tested” by centuries.
