Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament's European Union Integration Committee, on Wednesday said Luxembourg would be a contributor to the integration of Georgia into the European Union.

In her remarks over the visit of the Georgian Parliamentary delegation, led by the Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, to the country, Botchorishvili noted the Georgian lawmaking body would continue its “political dialogue” with counterparts in Luxembourg.

Luxembourg will be a supporter in this process [EU integration] that will contribute to the integration of Georgia into the European Union. We will of course continue the political dialogue with our counterparts in Luxembourg. We expect that they will actively support Georgia's progress in the EU integration process”, the Parliament official said.

In her turn, Khatuna Samnidze, an opposition MP and the Chair of the Republican Party, noted Luxembourg was a “partner” for Georgia on its European integration path.

Samnidze stressed it was “important” to meet with European partners in order to implement reforms and strengthen the European perspective of Georgia.
