Employees of the special tasks and coast guard departments at the Georgian interior ministry took part in an international anti-terrorist exercise in the Turkish capital of Ankara, the state body said on Thursday.

Within the training, the Georgian team was given an opportunity to improve their skills in identifying and neutralising terrorist forces, and were also trained in bringing personnel to the crime scenes by helicopter and evacuation from the area.

The exercises were carried out as part of a memorandum of understanding between the Georgian and Turkish interior ministries, with the drills also involving law enforcement bodies of other countries.
