Georgian PM, new Iranian ambassador discuss bilateral cooperation

Questions of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Iran were discussed on Friday in a meeting between the Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and Mahmoud Adib, the newly appointed Iranian ambassador to the country. 

The officials noted this year marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the government administration said. 

Adib previously served as Iran’s consul general in Kazakhstan, general director of the Supreme Council for Iranian Expatriates and director general for consular affairs of the Iranian foreign office.
