Female victims of violence were invited to meet representatives of the Georgian prosecutor general’s office on Wednesday in a meeting hosted as part of the body’s recently launched national campaign against femicide.

The state body said the officials had provided the survivors with information on their rights and discussed issues of gender equality in the meeting, which also highlighted the needs of the victims and the importance of providing them with legal assistance.
