Georgian wrestler Tato Grigalashvili claimed gold medal at the world judo championships in Tashkent on Sunday.

Grigalashvili defeated Belgian Matthias Casse in the final of the -81 kg category to earn the title of the champion.

On his way to the final the 21-year-old also defeated Japan’s current Olympic champion Nagase Takanori in the quarterfinals.
The Georgian judoka claimed silver at the world championships in Budapest last year.
