Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday attended the opening event of the first plenary session of the European Political Community in Prague.
The plenary session of the summit was opened by Petr Fiala, the prime minister of the Czech Republic, the country currently holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union, who addressed the leaders of participating states of the summit and discussed the “unifying efforts” to ensure peace and stability on the European continent.

In his tweet Garibashvili said he was “grateful” to Georgia’s EU partners for offering an “important platform” to the country to discuss the “most pressing issues” on Georgia-EU common agenda.

The conversation also touched on the process of continuing the construction of the European family and the integration of the associated countries.

The summit brings together the heads of 27 EU member countries and 17 partner states. The Georgian delegation includes Ilia Darchiashvili, the foreign minister and Revaz Javelidze, the head of government administration.
