Georgian products have been showcased at the international food and beverage event Fresh Produce Consortium Awards in London, state programme Enterprise Georgia announced on Wednesday.
The agency said the country’s culinary qualities had been represented at the event hosted on Friday by local produce with "high export potential", including nut crops, tea, spices, and dry fruits.
Organised with the support of Enterprise Georgia, the USAID agriculture programme and the Georgian embassy to the UK, the country’s participation in the event aimed to promote local agricultural produce on the British market and establish business connections with potential foreign partners or customers.
Georgia’s western city of Kutaisi will host the Zarzeimi Food Festival over the weekend, with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation and the European Union supporting the event.
