Tbilisi City Hall said “solidarity and support to the Ukrainian people” would be its “message of support for the friendly Kyiv” with the gesture, as the Georgian government and public express support to the country amid political and military tensions at its border with Russia.
In the Black Sea coastline city of Batumi, the impressive facade of the recently unveiled football stadium was also lit up in the Ukrainian national flag colours to join the message.
