Tbilisi’s hilltop TV tower has been illuminated in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the city council announcing the symbolic move on Wednesday.
The body also said the national screening centre campaign for the healthcare issue would be joining events planned across the world throughout the month for the cause.
Council chair Tinatin Nibloshvili, healthcare and social issues commission chair Zurab Chikviladze, non-governmental organisation Europa Donna Georgia and the national centre are involved in the domestic initiative for joining the global campaign.
