The National Bank of Georgia has issued a 5 Lari denomination silver collector coin dedicated to Eurobasket 2022, which will be available for pre-orders starting on Monday, the Bank announced on Saturday.
The NBG said the release of coins was in celebration of Georgian basketball's 100th anniversary and the country being a host of Eurobasket 2022, which has made Georgia’s capital Tbilisi “in the centre of the world’s attention”.
Pre-orders for the coins will be possible on Monday through the Money Museum webpage of the NBG and Money Museum in Georgia’s eastern Kvareli region, as well as at the Bank’s Cash Centre. The price of the coin is ₾70 (about $25).
