Georgian volunteer Berdia Jokhadze has become the latest casualty from the country in the ongoing war in Ukraine, with his family confirming his death on Thursday.
Jokhadze died in the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine.
Jokhadze’s sister expressed her gratitude to governments of Ukraine and Georgia as well as fellow volunteers, friends and relatives of the deceased for their support in ensuring timely repatriation of his body to Georgia.
The body of the Georgian volunteer will be repatriated on Friday before a military funeral.
David Ratiani and Gia Beriashvili, the two Georgian volunteers killed in combat action in Ukraine, were buried with military honours in Tbilisi on Saturday.
