Bilateral and multilateral political relations involving Georgia and Slovenia, and the process of Georgia's integration into the European Union were discussed between Ilia Darchiashvili, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon on Thursday at the ongoing NATO Summit.
The two officials welcomed the decision of the European Council on granting a European perspective to Georgia and the steps taken by the country on the path of its European integration, while also welcoming the decisions made at the NATO Summit, including on the alliance's support for Georgia.
The Slovenian FM reiterated her country’s support for Georgia's European integration, reaffirming strong support for the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, the positive dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries was also positively assessed.
