The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will build a FIFA Category II football stadium in Marneuli municipality in south-eastern Georgia, the Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure announced on Thursday.

The stadium complex will have infrastructure built to requirements of the international body, including dressing rooms, food facilities and storages. Stadium lighting, sound and fire systems, as well as special spaces for TV reporters will also be arranged.

The 2000-spectator pitch will be fully adapted for individuals with special needs under the ₾8.1 million (about $2.7mln/€2.6mln) project.
