Wearing a face mask in public transport will no longer be mandatory across Georgia starting June 20, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday.
The state body noted the Government had made the decision based on recommendations of the Ministry and medical professionals, considering the current “stable epidemiological situation”.

The requirement for wearing face masks outdoors was lifted in Georgia on March 28 while it had remained mandatory in public transport and medical facilities.

A total of 515 cases of coronavirus and three deaths were registered in Georgia last week, with a positivity rate for seven days standing at 0.51 percent.
