Georgia defeats North Macedonia in third UEFA Nations League match

The Georgian national football team defeated North Macedonia 0:3 in its third match of the UEFA Nations League Group C4 at the Todor Proeski Arena in the North Macedonian capital city of Skopje on Thursday.

The first goal of the game was scored by Budu Zivzivadze in the 52nd minute, with Kvicha Kvaratskhelia adding the second in the 62nd minute of the game, and Otar Kiteishvili netting the third in 84th. 

In a press conference following the victory, Willy Sagnol, the head coach of the Georgian team, said the Georgian squad was trying to “take another step” and qualify for the 2024 European Championship by scoring a good result in the Nations League competition.

Sagnol also pointed out his team’s “great job” on the pitch, noting he was particularly happy with their performance in the second half.
