Pawel Herczynski nominated for Head of EU Delegation to Georgia

Pawel Herczynski, the Managing Director for Common Security and Defence Policy and Crisis Response at the European External Action Service, has been nominated for the position of the Head of the European Union Delegation to Georgia, the EEAS said on Wednesday. 

Herczynski has also served as Director for Security and Defence Policy in the EEAS. His prior work included a stint as the Ambassador of Poland to the Political and Security Committee of the European Union.

Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Wednesday announced the nomination of 31 heads of delegations of the European Union. 

The representatives will be formally appointed following the receipt of respective agreements from their host countries.
