Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Estonian President Alar Karis on Wednesday discussed Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the “friendly and partnerly relations” between the two countries at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The meeting noted the “significant” support provided by Estonia to bring Georgian institutions closer to European standards, with Garibashvili thanking Karis for his “unwavering support” for Georgia's territorial integrity, sovereignty and the country's European and Euro-Atlantic integration process.
The sides also highlighted the successful partnership between their states in innovation, digital technology, education and defence, emphasising the importance of further deepening the cooperation, the Government’s Administration said.
Speaking about Georgia's progress on the path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Garibashvili noted the country had completed the self-assessment questionnaire of the European Union ahead of time and was now waiting for a decision from the European Commission.
