Georgia’s western Kutaisi International Airport served 59,033 passengers in April, marking an 87 percent recovery from the pre-pandemic figure from 2019, United Airports of Georgia announced on Friday.
The company also said a “positive dynamic” was observed in the number of flights, noting in April the airport had resumed 110 percent of flights and served 240 operations, compared to the 219 flights from the same period of 2019.
Five airline companies are currently operating 25 connections to 14 countries from the Airport, the company said.
In the first three months of the year the Kutaisi Airport served 121,470 passengers, the Civil Aviation Agency announced in April.
