Passengers arriving at or departing from the Kutaisi International Airport in western Georgia will receive free week-long train tickets from Georgian Railway starting this Saturday, the company announced on Thursday.
The seven-day fare will be issued after presenting Kutaisi Airport tickets at the station, with two-way connections for the train ticket including the capital Tbilisi and the western cities of Zugdidi, Batumi, Poti and Ozurgeti.
Georgian Railway also said the transfer of passengers between the recently renovated Kopitnari train station and the Airport would be carried out by United Airports of Georgia, adding all passenger trains would stop at the station.
The railway company recently unveiled the renovated train station connecting passengers between cities in the country to the Kutaisi International Airport. It said the Station had undergone a “complete renovation” with modern standards and was tailored to the needs of people with disabilities.
