Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Saturday inspected the rehabilitated Kopitnari railway station in Georgia’s western Imereti region.

During his visit, Garibashvili was informed by David Peradze, General Director of Georgian Railway, about the details of the rehabilitation that has enabled the company to serve passengers between major Georgian cities and the Kutaisi International Airport in the region.

We have now inspected the renovated railway station, which will serve our citizens - the passengers who will arrive directly from Tbilisi and not only from Tbilisi," Garibashvili told the press.

The Georgian PM noted the passengers would be able to cover the distance between the Kopitnari  station to the Airport in five minutes.

Both the interior and exterior of the station building were rehabilitated in the effort, with the building  adapted for people with disabilities.
