The Helsinki Commission, the US government agency for security and cooperation in Europe, commended the visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, to Ukraine amid the war, saying their display of solidarity was “heartening to see.”
The Commission noted the “unity in service” against Russia’s war in Ukraine was “essential” for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic path.
Heartening to see @shpapuashvili & a Georgian cross-party parliamentary delegation visit #Ukraine. Unity in service of common principles & against Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's war is essential & a key part of #Georgia's promised Euro-Atlantic future. https://t.co/eTAMnZncP6
