The Ukrainian city of Bucha and the town of Irpin tell the story of “heroes fighting for freedom”, Archil Talakvadze, the Georgian Parliament Vice Speaker, tweeted on Tuesday following a visit of a Georgian Parliamentary delegation to Ukraine over the weekend.
Talakvadze said the “horrible pictures” from the ongoing war in Ukraine were “beyond any common sense.”
Bucha and Irpin tell the story of heroes fighting 4 freedom. We’ve seen horrible pictures from the war which is beyond any common sense, judgement or imagination. We’ve seen horrible pictures from the war which is beyond any common sense, judgement or imagination,” Talakvadze tweeted.
The Parliament official expressed “deep condolences” to the victims of the massacres committed by invading Russian troops, and extended “full support” to Ukraine and the Ukrainian nation “in these difficult days.”
On April 4, Ukrainian officials said bodies of 410 civilians had been found in the two locations of the Kyiv area that were retaken from Russian forces. Satellite images showed a 14-metre-long mass grave in Bucha.
