The acute phase of Covid-19 is coming to an end, with the World Health Organisation likely to declare the pandemic over this year, Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Head of the National Centre for Disease Control, said on Thursday.
Gamkrelidze highlighted the importance of health authorities not recording a single Covid-related death in the country over the past 24 hours, noting the “stabilisation process” would continue throughout the world.
