Georgian health authorities have not recorded a single Covid-related death in the country over the last 24 hours, marking the first time no individual has died from the virus in the country since September 2020.
The country has registered 324 new Covid-19 cases and 721 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 14 days stands at 2.32 percent.
Overall 3,930 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
A total of 22,625 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 20,420 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2,205 were PCR tests.
1,650,708 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia since February 26, 2020.
A total of 1,629,987 of 1,650,708 patients have recovered, while 16,765 have died from the virus.
The new Omicron variant of coronavirus accounts for the majority of confirmed Covid-19 cases.

A total of 426 are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. Currently, 116 people are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
3,504 people are undergoing treatment at home.
Overall, 1,362,238 individuals have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,257,713 people have been fully vaccinated amounting to 43.8 percent of the country’s adult population and 243,433 have received booster shots of the vaccine.
