FTX delegation, Georgian agency discuss achievements in innovation ecosystem development

Successful Georgian startups and achievements of Georgia in the development of the innovation ecosystem were in the focus of meetings between a delegation of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange and representatives of the Georgian Agency for Innovation and Technology (GITA) on Friday.

The delegation of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange, the world's largest company in the field of cryptocurrency, held meetings at the local Agency, where Avtandil Kasradze, the Chairman of the latter, stressed the significance of the success of the Georgian startups involving crypto and blockchain for the country's economy, and called their promotion a “priority” of the Georgian Government.

The visiting FTX delegation - which involved CEO Ryan Salem and Michelle Bond, the CEO of Digital Asset Market Association - also met Georgian startups in the field of crypto and discussed possibilities of future partnership. 

Bond stressed young startups in Georgia had the ability to “quickly achieve” international recognition and gain access to global resources and funding.

The FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange delegation is visiting Georgia at the invitation of the country’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, and has held meetings with representatives of both state agencies and the private sector during the visit.
