Investment opportunities in Georgia, and a favourable business environment were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and Ryan Salame, the CEO of FTX Digital Market.

The Georgian PM and the visiting CEO talked about directions for prospective cooperation, with Garibashvili reaffirming “maximum support” for the implementation of foreign direct investment in the country, the Government Administration said.

The delegation of FTX Crypto Derivatives Exchange was invited by Garibashvili to explore possibilities in the Georgian financial field. The head of the Georgian Government met with founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried during the Munich Security Conference earlier this year, and suggested expansion of the company’s regional office or customer service in Georgia, which would serve a wider regional area.

The founder and CEO of FTX ($40 billion in assets) is one of the richest men in the crypto industry and has amassed $22.5 billion before turning 30 by profiting off the cryptocurrency boom.
