Prospects of cooperation and investments in various directions in Georgia were discussed between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Yıldırım Demirören, the Chairman of Demirören Holding, an Istanbul-based investment holding, on Thursday.

The Georgian Government Administration said the PM had discussed the domestic hospitality industry, real estate sector, as well as energy and information technology as areas of potential investment during the meeting with Demirören.

The sides also noted a “large investment” would be made by the company into the construction of a new five-star Old Iveria hotel in western Georgia's Tskaltubo resort, with the Government announcing a rehabilitation project for the country’s Soviet-era tourist location in early July.
