Coronavirus in Georgia: 506 new cases, 285 recoveries, 11 deaths

Georgia has reported a total of 506 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 25,752 (including 9,982 PCR and 15,769 rapid) tests over the last 24 hours.
Out of the 506 new cases 240 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
Other cases were reported in:

As of now the number of total confirmed cases of coronavirus stands at 287,689 since its first case was reported in Georgia last February.
With 285 new recoveries a total of 276,711 patients have recovered, while with 11 new cases of death 3,869 individuals have died of coronavirus for over a year.
The number of active cases of infection meanwhile stands at 7,083.
Georgia has reported 777 new cases of coronavirus, 342 recoveries and nine deaths in the past 24 hours.
A doctor at the Imedi Clinic in Akhaltsikhe says 27-year-old nurse Megi Bakradze, who died after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine, was not given proper medical assistance in the first minutes after going into anaphylactic shock.
Georgian health officials have decided to continue vaccination with AstraZeneca only for individuals over 55 years of age following statements from the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organisation that say that unusual blood clots should be listed as a very rare side effect of the AstraZeneca vaccine for Covid-19.
Three employees of Imedi hospital in the southwestern Georgian town of Akhaltsikhe have been charged by the Prosecutor’s Office for providing false information about the recent death of 27-year-old nurse Megi Bakradze.
A week following Orthodox Easter on May 4-11 has been declared public holiday in Georgia to curb the possible spread of the coronavirus. The interagency commission led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has also given out the recommendation to employers to move to remote work.
Georgia has reported 1,030 new cases of coronavirus, 706 recoveries and seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
