Georgia reports 1,030 new cases of coronavirus of 32,801 tests

Georgia has reported 1,030 new cases of coronavirus, 706 recoveries and seven deaths in the past 24 hours. 

32,801 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 20,919 of the 32,801 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,882 were PCR tests.

 

The country has had 292,244 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

2.68 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze said yesterday that if more than four per cent of tested individuals test positive for coronavirus in two consecutive weeks, the government of Georgia is likely to impose coronavirus restrictions, including lockdown. 

279,389 of the 292,244 patients have recovered, while 3,908 have died from the virus.

  • Tbilisi - 538 cases 
  • Adjara - 103 cases 
  • Imereti - 73 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 63 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 30 cases 
  • Guria - 24 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 119 cases 
  • Kakheti - 42 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 25 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 11 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2 cases

2,616 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 446 of the 2,616 patients are in critical condition. 76 of the 446critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

14,639 individuals are in self-isolation. 

 

More than 3,791,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
