Zonal hourly parking will be introduced on Tbilisi’s central Vazha Pshavela and Kazbegi Avenues and Kavtaradze Street starting May 1.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said municipal pavilions for car registry have already been placed in the Saburtalo district.
Tbilisi City Hall will also allocate free parking spaces for locals, people with disabilities, category A taxis and electric car owners on Vazha Pshavela, Kazbegi Avenues and Kavtaradze street.
Kaladze said that the tariffs are different for A, B, C categories. The parking fee for category A will be 1 GEL per hour, category B – 2 GEL, and category C – 3 GEL.
Zonal hourly parking will cover the whole city in the coming future.
Currently there are 2,629 paid public parking spaces in Tbilisi. Kaladze said 2,400 more parking lots will be added on different streets of the capital Tbilisi in the near future.
