Zonal hourly parking to be introduced in Mtatsminda, Chugureti, Didube districts starting March 1

The metered zonal parking system will be introduced in Mtatsminda, Chugureti and Didube districts of capital Tbilisi starting March 1, mayor Kakha Kaladze announced earlier today. 

Additional spaces for zonal hourly parking will be added in the Saburtalo district as well, Kaladze further added. 

The spots for metered zonal parking are as follows:

  • Freedom Square and 32 streets of Mtatsminda district with a total of 1,116 spots
  • 13 streets of Chugureti district with a total of 497 parking spots
  • Tsereteli and Tsabadze streets in Didube distinct with a total of 90 spots
  • Chikovani, Balanchivadze and Chailuri streets in Saburtalo district with a total of 135 spots

The zonal hourly parking system will allow drivers to use the spots for 15 minutes free of charge, with the cost of 1 GEL for every additional hour of parking. Locals registering in advance, owners of electric vehicles and disabled users will be able to use the zones free of charge.

Citizens will be able to register their vehicles in information booths that will be located in the parking areas of the aforementioned districts starting February 1.
