Coronavirus: Georgia reports 2,784 new cases, 2,070 recoveries, 53 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,784 new cases of coronavirus, 2,070 recoveries and 53 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for the last 7 days stands at 6.67%.

A total of 38,023 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 51,054 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 31,443 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 19,611 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 905,677 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

854,630 of the 905,677 infected individuals have recovered, while 13,024 have died from the virus.

The new 2,784 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,236 cases 
  • Adjara - 215 cases 
  • Imereti - 429 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 137 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 205 cases 
  • Guria - 77 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 174 cases 
  • Kakheti - 143 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 88 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 59 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 21 cases

5,737 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,422 of them are in intensive care units. 319 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

31,180 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,252,696 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of COVID-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,074,608 have been fully vaccinated.
