Georgia reports 2,195 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 6.48%

Georgia has reported 2,195 new cases of coronavirus, 4,319 recoveries and 47 deaths in the last 24 hours. 

The weekly positivity rate for tested individuals stands at 6.48%.

35,852 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

33,813 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 20,095 of them were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,718 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 907,872 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

858,949 infected patients have recovered, while 13,071 have died from the virus.

The new 2,195 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,032 cases 
  • Adjara - 149 cases 
  • Imereti - 380 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 98 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 116 cases 
  • Guria - 76 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 160 cases 
  • Kakheti - 95 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 60 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 26 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 3 cases

5,779 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,426 of them are in intensive care units. 319 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

31,180 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,254,991 individuals in the country have received at least one dose of COVID-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,078,455 have been fully vaccinated.
